Following a well received series of concert in the park events last year, the BIA will again be hosting free live acoustic musical performances at the small public stage in Suydam Park - Spadina Rd. at Coulson Ave.
On Saturday afternoons from 1 to 3pm throughout June (1, 8, 15, 22 & 29) and September (7, 14, 21 & 28), weather-permitting, all are welcome to bring along a picnic blanket, or perch upon the park benches, grab a snack in the Village, and enjoy the beautiful acoustic sounds of some of Toronto’s finest musicians in our beautiful local park.
- Kicking things off on June 1st is Big Smoke Brass, (pictured above)
- June 8th will feature Ozere, comprised of classically trained violinist Jessica Deutsch and her band who bring together the worlds of folk and chamber music.
- Back this year is popular jazz ensemble, The Red Rhythm, on June 15th.
- On June 22nd, Tamar Illana & Ventanas will be performing a mix of Mediterranean grooves and flamenco melodies off her new album, MISTRĀL.
